Forthcoming Reading Room Events

A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.

Monday Café:
The Reading Room is open on Mondays from 11.45am to 3.00pm, for home-made soup and a roll, home-made cakes, teas and coffees.

At the Monday café we are supporting local businesses and have Smith Street coffee for sale. And we now also have a selection of delicious locally made jams for sale. Festive jams make a great little gift this Christmas! Please come and have a look around, all welcome. FREE

Monday café will close after the café on 16th December and reopen on the 6th January 2020 following the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Sword Dancers

  • on Boxing day morning on Main Street.
  • Grenoside Sword Dance Traipse, Saturday 11th January starting at the Reading Room at 10.30am. Refreshments available including mince pies and mulled wine.

Grenoside Languages Group:  The next meeting will be on Wednesday 8th January at 1.45 pm.  For more information, see event.

Saturday 18th January at 7 pm we have a talk at the Reading Room:
