Forthcoming Reading Room Events Autumn 2017

Monday Café:
The Reading Room will be open on Mondays from 11.45am to 3.00pm, for home-made soup and a roll, home-made cakes, teas and coffees. Please come and have a look around, all welcome. FREE

NB Monday 30th October 2017 The Monday café at the Reading Room will be closed due to many of the voluntees being on holiday. Café will reopen as usual the following Monday.

A new exhibition “Notable buildings of Grenoside and District” by the Grenoside and District History Society is now on display at the Reading Room. Thank you to the members of the Society for producing a fantastic exhibition.

14th and 15th October Grenoside Art Group Exhibition

17th October Public Meeting on Planning Proposal at 7.00pm (see event).

18th October: Grenoside Languages Group 1.45pm (see event).

1st November: Grenoside Languages Group 1.45pm (see event).

Saturday 11th November 2017 9am to 5pm Grenoside Sword Dancers open / recruitment day. Refreshments available.

Sunday 12th November 2017 11am The Reading Room will be open on Remembrance Day for refreshments following the service at the War Memorial.

Thursday 16th November 2017 7.30pm Our next talk at the Reading Room is by Mike Spick who returns to the Reading Room to give a talk “ UP THE CUT” from Halfpenny Bridge to Sheffield Canal Basin, via t’ackydoc – The Sheffield Canal, past and present.

Saturday 2nd December 2017 12 noon to 5pm and Sunday 3rd December 11am to 4pm Grenoside Christmas Tree festival.
