Forthcoming Reading Room Events August and September 2017

Monday Café: The Reading Room Monday café will close for the summer holidays after our Monday opening on the 17th July. We will reopen on the 28th August which is Bank Holiday Monday. This will give our hard working volunteers a well earned summer break. Thank you to all our Monday visitors for your support.

From 28th August the Reading Room will be open on Mondays from 11.45am to 3.00pm, for home-made soup and a roll, home-made cakes, teas and coffees. Please come and have a look around, all welcome. FREE

A new exhibition “Notable buildings of Grenoside and District” by the Grenoside and District History Society should now be on display at the Reading Room. Thank you to the members of the Society for producing a fantastic exhibition.

Heritage Open Days at the Reading Room
7th September at 7.30pm a talk celebrating 50 years of Conservation Areas. 50 years of Conservation is one of the key themes for this years Heritage Open Days. The talk by Megan Smith and David Dulieu will focus on Grenoside Conservation area. Refreshments available with donations to Grenoside Conservation Society.

The Reading Room will be open all days. Light refreshments wiil be available from Thursday 7th to Sunday 10th September at the following times:

Thursday 10am till 3pm
Friday 1pm till 4pm
Saturday 10am till 3pm
Sunday 11am till 3pm

We will also be working alongside Helen Jackson with the Top Side Crucible Forge opening for Heritage Open Days.

20th September: Grenoside Languages Group meetings re-commence fortnightly on Wednesdays at the Reading Room (1.45pm). For more information please contact:
