LOCAL NEIGHBOURHOOD POLICE

Following some Grenoside residents' requests, Members of our Local Neighbourhood Police Team will be at the Reading Room on Thursday 17th March at 7pm. A drop in session to meet and raise questions.

The Police Team will return to the Reading Room at the Monday morning café on the 21st March. Between 9am and 11am

At the Monday café we have Smith Street coffee for sale and also have a selection of delicious locally made jams for sale.

We are still collecting plastic milk bottle tops at The Reading Room to raise money for Yorkshire Cancer Research (reg charity no 516898)

Reading Room Brief Update January 2021

The Grenoside Sword Dance Traipse will take place on Saturday the 8th January 2022 starting off at the Reading Room with Dancing at 10.30am.

Pop up Post Office and Monday Cafe will be open  on the 10th January:

Reading Room News December 2021 / January 2022

The Reading Room Trustees and volunteers wish you a Happy Christmas and  a Peaceful New Year.

At the time of writing we are unsure if, how and when Government will take action to deal will any changes relating to Covid. We at the Reading Room will open if we can but we need to ensure everyone's safety.

Reading Room News November 2021

Grenoside Christmas Tree Festival and Trail December 2021

Once again the Reading Room will be open on the weekend of the 4th and 5th of December 2021

We will be selling Trail programmes and serving refreshments. On both Saturday and Sunday we will be open from 12 noon through till late afternoon.

Every Monday morning 9am to 12 noon except, due to holidays, when the Post Office will NOT OPEN on 26th July, and the 23rd and 30th August

MONDAY CAFÉ AT THE READING ROOM

Every Monday 8.45am to 2pm except due to holidays when the Café will NOT OPEN on 26th July and the 2nd,9th,16th,23rd and 30th of August.

Both Post Office and Café open on the 6th September

On Monday mornings, the 12th July and 19th July we have a visit from P C Ferrei. He is one of our local Neighbourhood Policing Team. Please come along and take this opportunity to speak with him about your issues and concerns.
