POP UP POST OFFICE AT THE READING ROOM

Every Monday morning 9am to 12 noon, Since September last year, which included the Lockdowns, the Pop up Post Office has provided the Grenoside Residents with a lifeline village service. Many Thanks to Carol, Sub Postmistress for the service over the period.

Despite being severely restricted by Covid – 19 over the past year the Trustees and a hard working band of Volunteers have been busy. A new kitchen sink has been fitted to comply with H & S regs. Failed window units replaced in the Georgian style windows. A large section of the Dry Stone wall rebuilt in the lower garden. Jean our neighbour next door in the School House continues to tend to our garden with new plants and bulbs planted for the spring and summer. Bedding plants ready when frosty morning have ended.

We are still collecting plastic milk bottle tops at The Reading Room to raise money for Yorkshire Cancer Research (reg charity no 516898)

At the Monday café (when open) we have Smith Street coffee for sale and also have a selection of delicious locally made jams for sale.

You can find us on both Facebook and Twitter!
